Job Description
The Cavendish Town Elementary School, a K-6 school serving approximately 70 students, invites well-qualified candidates to apply for the position of Interim Principal. The successful candidate will have previous experience as an elementary school principal and will have the ability to work successfully with staff, students and families.
The Green Mountain Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and innovative leader to be our new Principal at Cavendish Town Elementary School. CTES is a small K-6 school located in Proctorsville, just a few miles south of Okemo Mountain. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and ready access to a wealth of outdoor activities.
The successful candidate will have principal certification as well as significant experience as a building leader and as an elementary level teacher. We are looking for a leader with the capacity to inspire teachers and students in our small supportive community, the vision to improve data-driven instructional practice, and familiarity with trauma transformative work, MTSS, and restorative practices. This principal will be expected to lead the building as well as assist with implementation of a variety of district-wide initiatives.
All candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure as a Vermont licensure.

Job Requirements
- The principal shall have a minimum of a MA degree along with 5 years of administrative experience. Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid VT Principal License.
A fingerprint supported background check is required. - At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Master degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
