Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity within the US Buyout investment team based in New York. You will be centrally involved in originating and leading US-buyout-related primary investments, secondary investments, and direct co-investments. The role will also include client and prospective client interactions for fundraising purposes.

The Investment Manager will join a cohesive group of high-performing investment professionals with relevant backgrounds ranging from private equity investing, investment banking, accounting & finance, and operations. This hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our business.

Responsibilities

• Originate, diligence, and lead investments in cooperation with the SCPE US buyout team
• Investment scope covers direct co-investments, primary fund investments and secondary transactions
• Preparation and coordination of investment recommendation documentation
• Ongoing relationship management with assigned companies and fund managers including monitoring of investments, attendance of AGM, and advisory board meetings
• Overall operational support with regards to reporting and investor updates
• Contribute to fundraising activities including client and prospect interactions
• Conduct industry research, screening, portfolio analysis, and monitoring of investments
• Domestic travel mandatory as well as some international travel

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from a leading university (MBA optional)
• Between five to seven years of work experience
• Advanced financial analysis, business modelling, and valuation skills
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation)
• An ability to integrate rapidly and to work effectively in a global team of professionals
• Experience analyzing companies, funds, and industries from an investment perspective a plus
• A strategic approach, sound business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset
• An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Investment banking, consulting, private equity, or related corporate finance field

Compensation

Schroders offers a base salary in a range of $150,000 to $190,000 for this position.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
