Key Qualifications
- 2+ years of application development experience using UIKit
- Object-oriented programming and design skills
- Experience with Objective-C and Swift

- Approaches problems flexibly, can adapt and modify depending on the situation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Description
Do you want to help shape the future of Maps for Apple? Are you looking to contribute to the foundation at the core of the location-based experiences found on iPhone, iPad, and WATCH? If so, read on. As a software engineer working on our team, your primary responsibility is creating and implementing delightful and engaging Search, Guides, and Place-card features that bring to bear not only a user’s location but can also learn from their behaviors and preferences. You will often find yourself working at different levels of the stack, and may find yourself working fluidly across network programming to client-side framework and application development. Our team is maintaining and improving not just Maps, but integration with system-wide search experiences driven by Siri and Spotlight. To meet these demands, you’ll need to be a passionate iOS or macOS developer, be able to debug with great proficiency, and be ready to eek out the best-possible application performance using a variety of tools and techniques. The ideal candidate wants to tackle big problems and cares about getting the little details right.
Education & Experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience will be considered

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
