Full Job Description
- The Director of IT will work as a leader in the information technology department overseeing the team members as they build and update computer systems that align with the business' organizational goals. Ensuring implementation, testing, designing, and maintenance of an ERP system that will provide them with continued growth and success.
- The IT Director will also collaborate closely with other department heads to understand their IT requirements, needs and preferences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the effective operation of the company's ERP and SQL systems
- Assist departments in ensuring information system needs are met
- Verify servers and networks are up to date and secure
- Facilitate effective computer usage by employees
- Research and purchase software enhancing business effectiveness
- Maintain vendor relationships and agreements
- Provide liaison between the company and external partners thus providing necessary higher-level support for communication systems
- Configure web-filtering software and workstation permissions
- Resolve software application issues
- Management data connectivity with remote site
- Provides strategic planning for all information systems
- Provides IS disaster recovery plans
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for all aspects of employee management within the information technology department.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree and at least 10 yrs. experience in related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- At least 2 years' experience developing and implementing Dynamics NAV.
- Familiar with versions 2009 & RTC; SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with SharePoint 2007 or later a plus.
- Knowledge of Exchange, Windows and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- Familiar with network concepts (TCP IP, Windows Networking, Ethernet, VLAN, VOIP).
- Familiar with VMware and virtualization concepts.
- Familiar with Antivirus/Spyware, spam reduction and patch management tools.
- Active Directory administration.
- Experience supporting iPhones and Androids.
