Sr. IT Director of Global Infrastructure Services to be a key member of the global IT leadership team, that is globally responsible for IT End User Support, Networking and Communication services, on-premise and cloud server and storage technologies, automation, monitoring tools and datacenter facilities. With a focus on Service Delivery, the primary job will be to ensure that our production environment is operating and performing, to drive scaling and efficiency for our services, and to partner with the Quest business to enable innovation. This individual will collaborate with the IT leadership management team and key business leaders / decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization in line with the corporate strategy. This position will be remote and based in the US.

Responsibilities:
- Provide thought leadership and build alignment around strategic technology and service-lifecycle roadmaps
- Develop and maintain an overall leadership structure for the Infrastructure organization that supports the needs of the business
- Develop and maintain an on-going relationship with the other IT and broader Quest Leadership teams
- Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors and partner organizations
- Develop justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
- Approve, prioritize, and control a project portfolio related to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of IT’s information systems
- Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of metrics with business leaders and monitoring of IT system availability and performance
- Develop, track, and control the Infrastructure organization’s annual operating and capital budgets
- Manage relevant Security and regulatory controls and support audits and remediation
- Review hardware, software and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale and maximize business flexibility
- Align and maintain departmental goals and objectives
- Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of the Infrastructure organization
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry
General Qualifications
- Hands-on operational experience in a high-volume and critical production service environment
- Have successfully managed highly technical teams within large (>$1 billion) companies
- Highly technical leader with experience in areas of cloud infrastructure and management
- Thorough understanding of working in a secure technical environment
- In depth knowledge and experience with networking, server, storage, voice / telecom / communications and various physical and virtual infrastructure architectures including public and private cloud deployment
- Experience in Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery and testing
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic roadmap while balancing short term tactical decisions
- Experience with commercial software development and SaaS models
- Proven success in establishing key performance indicators, metrics, and focus to drive operational / service delivery best practices
- Experience with M&A activity
- Business and Financial Acumen with demonstrated experience managing a multi-million dollar budget with great discipline in planning, execution, and analysis
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
Management Qualifications
- Experience building and managing high performing operations teams
- Proven ability to manage globally distributed organization, developing, coaching, motivating and driving (on and off-shore) team performance
- Detail oriented planning skills with a balance of risk management and efficient execution
- Experience defining concrete implementation plans with concrete deliverables and dates
- Can establish and balance priorities between new initiatives and sustaining operations engineering work
- Recognizes and attracts top tier industry talent in infrastructure operations and establishes a clear plan to mentor and help the team members grow
- Inspires team through establishment of clear vision, goals, objectives, roles, and responsibilities
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
Communication Qualifications
- Strong ability to communicate precisely in both written and verbal forums
- Ability to communicate and translate highly technical issues for executives
- Works well with peers and team members to build a stronger team both inside and outside the assigned area of responsibility
- Able to manage remote teams
- Successfully delegates and scales the organization’s capabilities without compromising on quality or control of the organization
Education/Experience
- BA/BS in Computer Science and 15+ years of progressively broadening architecture and technology leadership experience OR Graduate degree and 12+ years of progressively broadening architecture and technology leadership experience
