Title: IT Technician
Location: Cullman, AL, Smyrna, TN, and Springfield, OH. (Candidate must be able to travel to each location for 2-3 months at a time)
Duration: 1 year
Hourly: $20.00-$25.00
Duties:
Barcode printer configuration
Configure ~88 Intermec barcode printers.
- Unbox printer.
- Each printer will need to be labeled with IP address, asset number and printer name (serial number). Labels will be pre-printed and available.
- Record each printer name, IP address, asset number and serial number into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Boot printer from USB drive, select correct file and upload config to printer. Confirm configuration was applied and saved.
- Repackage printer and label/write printer name on the outside of box. The serial number will already be on the outside of the box if you use the original box.
2nd Phase
- Deliver printers to the proper printer stand locations in Cullman plant 1 Press area.
- Unbox printer, connect all cables, load paper and ribbon and power on the printer.
- Place all trash and recycling in proper bins.
Skills:
- Proven work experience in IT support or IT technician roles
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel
- Associate degree or advanced apprenticeship in Computer Science or relevant disciplines
- Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
- Problem-solving skills
- Technical documentation skills
- Organizational and interpersonal skills
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
