RKK Construction is a 45 year old Mercer Island based general contractor, with a focus on residential construction, is looking for a skilled, experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our great team. This person is a motivated, honest, and reliable individual and who will bring professionalism and building experience to our company.

Looking for an individual with a minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction. High level of rough and finish carpentry skills required.

Job Description:

Our Journeyman Carpenter will assist the Superintendent on job sites and provides strong support with day-to-day project operations, tasks, and installations. The Carpenter will perform hands-on carpentry in all phases of a project.

The carpenter can comprehend architectural drawings/construction plans, assists in maintaining project schedule by working closely with the Supervisor, crew, and subcontractors.

Job Requirements:

• Must maintain, promote, and enforce a safe, clean job site and work environment.
• Must be detail-oriented, responsible, punctual, dedicated, well presented and extremely hardworking.
• Must feel comfortable in doing all tasks include, but not limited to: Demolition, rough carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, drywall, painting and all aspects of residential construction, remodeling, and maintenance.
• Required to have a valid driver's license, good driving record AND reliable transportation.
• Must have general personal tools including: nail bags, hand tools, power tools (e.g. cordless drills, saws) etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds/Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Must be physically able to perform most duties required on a remodel project.
