Job Summary:

This customer service orientated individual will perform skilled work in the installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, testing and operation of electrical systems, including electrical gear, panels, outlets, lighting, motors, Liebert systems, control devices (DDC, electric and possibly pneumatic) and other ancillary equipment. Specific work may include reading blue prints, code books, pull wire, installing electrical devices, light fixtures, HVAC controls, fire alarm system components, conducting preventive maintenance, etc. Will system troubleshoot, problem-solve and work independently with minimal instruction or in a team environment, depending upon the task at hand. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Must be knowledgeable with appropriate state and local codes. Must secure permitting as required. May be required to be on call. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

5+ years experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is required. Knowledge of state and local electrical codes is required. Hospital experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED from accredited university is required. Electrical trade school preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Must have creative and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to type.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Journeyman Electrician License is required.
