Here is What You Will Be Doing to Start:
- Apply architectural knowledge and skills to efficiently meet project requirements.
- Deliver multiple projects throughout various different stages ranging from preliminary design to final construction drawings.
- Work primarily in AutoCAD to produce accurate plans, elevations, sections and details.
- Take existing condition field measurements and photographs at project sites.
- Prepare design drawings, interpreting the Principal’s design sketches.
- Support the Principal and Project Manager through all phases of design & production.
- Collaborative design work with team members.
Eventually, You Will Be:
- Providing design solutions in a collaborative manner.
- Coordinating with allied professionals: Surveyors, Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, Interior Designers, Kitchen Designers, etc.
- Communicating with Clients, Contractors, and Manufacturer Reps.
- Preparing conceptual structural layouts prepping for structural engineering design work.
- Preparing required zoning calculations for permit and zoning board submission.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Professional Degree in Architecture required – Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Architecture
- High proficiency using AutoCAD LT software.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Familiarity with Sketch-Up, Rhinoceros, Revit and other similar three-dimensional modeling software.
- Proficiency using Adobe software including Photoshop & Illustrator desired.
- Good communication skills in conversation & writing.
- Ability to shift attention and maintain progress among multiple concurrent projects.
