The Opportunity Location: St. James Winery - Branson, MO!
Seeking individuals with a focus on Food & Beverage, Hospitality and Customer Service to join our team at St. James Winery!
Must be able to provide prompt, hospitable service to guests in a counter-service or server-service restaurant setting. Kitchen team members work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment helping to prepare meals. Primary objectives of the position include preparation of food and executing a clean working environment in the kitchen, dishwashing room, and surrounding areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
Arriving early to food prep, including washing, peeling, cutting and mixing ingredients
Portion and plate food orders during service period
Have a working knowledge of the day's meals and complete menu
Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Safe use of brick oven and other kitchen equipment (no deep fryers or cooktops)
Keep track and be mindful of inventory levels throughout the kitchen and back of house
Assist in ordering of weekly supplies as needed
Responsible for ensuring all areas of the kitchen, food prep, and food storage areas are clean and properly sanitized. This includes washing dishes and cooking equipment, cleaning floors, sanitizing countertops and cutting boards, and maintaining all areas to health code.
Operate computerized point of sale system for placing orders
Practice safe and efficient cash handling procedures
Maintain a calm and steady demeanor during high volume periods
Any and all other duties as communicated and directed by supervisor
Skills, Experience & Demand
Customer-focused with excellent sales, service and people skills
Possess a strong work ethic
Food handling and preparation experience preferred
Experience with Brick Ovens a plus!
Must pass all required food handling and alcohol sales tests
Ability to work 40+ hours per week, per business needs
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening events
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Reliable transportation to and from work
Physical Demands
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Tolerance of occasional high noise levels
