GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Lab Technician conducts Testing in the TTC, as well as Prototype Part/Sample Making in the Novi TTC. Conducting material level/part level/vehicle level testing, generating test data, and creating test reports/summaries are key activities of this job function. Supporting Sales with prototype/sample part making when necessary is also an important function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Quality Engineer and/or Sr. Product Engineer to conduct testing in the Novi TTC to support internal/external customer needs.
• Create accurate test data by paying attention to detail and following standard procedures.
• Supports Quality Engineer as needed for customer specific test requests related to quality issues at Parker Americas customers.
• Support Prototype Part or Service Part making in the Novi TTC based on customer demand.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain 5S. Help keep laboratory clean.
• Maintain testing data in orderly fashion within desired shared drive location.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree in Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field. 1-3 years prior relevant experience desirable but not required. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software, Presentation software and Word Processing software.
