We are seeking a Landscape Construction Manager to join our collaborative, growing team. We are a high-end long standing landscape design-build firm in East Hampton, NY. We build some of the most notable residential landscapes in the the Hamptons.

We are looking for a Landscape Construction Manager, who is a team player, with experience in managing landscape construction projects. Our Landscape Construction Manager role is responsible for managing all field operations within the construction division; coordinating the procurement and scheduled use of resources, including labor, equipment and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget; ensuring safety guidelines are followed and quality standards met.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Accomplishes project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.

2. Meets company operational standards by contributing construction information for strategic planning and reviews; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolves problems; identifies construction management system improvements.

3. Coordinates site with builders, subcontractors, mark-out companies and employees in order for projects to move forward efficiently. Provide most recent plans and/or documents to field staff at the beginning of the day and provide instruction to ensure crew Leader and crew are prepared to complete the job.

4. Manages and schedules labor, equipment and material to accomplish production schedules within established budgets. Maintains strict adherence to established schedules and budgets. Manages crews, as needed, by locating, evaluating, and selecting team members; monitoring and controlling performance. Daily oversight of proper clock-in/clock-out procedures properly making sure employees are always prompt in their punching.

5. Understands design and contract specifications, able to coordinate plant lay-out per design and ensures those plans are met and maintained to customers’ complete satisfaction. Reading plans, placing and installing plants. Reading, writing and basic computer skills with Office Suite and Outlook.

6. Supervises employees, keeping attendance records, enforcing proper uniform and safety
equipment use, and approving time cards. Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, adhering to policies and procedures.

7. Maintains organization, cleanliness, takes care of grounds, equipment, and all facilities owned by Company.

8. Maintains and encourages constant contact with all project personnel, as necessary, to run projects efficiently.
