Department Manager - Landscape Maintenance and Small Projects

Great and unique opportunity to work in the ever-involving landscape industry. We are a commercial landscape construction company that also has a smaller maintenance division. We have an opening for the Maintenance Department Manager. This role is a mixture of in-the-field leadership/work and in the office administrative work. You will have both in-house resources and subcontractors at your disposal to complete the work. This is a blended position with 3 main aspects:

Managing/overseeing the yearly maintenance accounts

· Writing maintenance proposal for customers

· Developing maintenance plans for individual properties

· Develop and maintain a chemical applicator program

· Communicating directly with customers

· Managing staff members (department currently has 2 irrigation technicians, 1 maintenance technician, and 1 spray technician/maintenance technician)

· Overseeing subcontractors

· Review the landscape on a regular basis ensuring our quality standards are met

· Working directly with irrigation technicians to ensure scheduling is being handled to standards in a proactive manner

· Maintain and document native grass areas

· Developing snow removal plans

· Overseeing all operation

Managing/overseeing the warranty phase of completed projects

· Tracking “as-built” information of construction projects

· Providing closeout documentation to the client

· Providing maintenance recommendations to owners when projects are complete

· Developing maintenance plans and pricing for completed projects

· Observing and documenting maintenance practices during warranty period of completed projects

Managing/overseeing small landscape installation and renovation projects

· Meeting with customers and making recommendations

· Writing proposals

· Counting quantities of materials and placing orders

· Leading and assisting in-house crews to complete work

You will also oversee our “native seed areas” including install and maintenance

Other task as assigned: Every employee of Integrated Site Services is expected to be a team player and do whatever it takes to a project done. Some examples are:

· Spraying vegetation with herbicide

· Hand watering trees

· Repairing irrigation

· Operating equipment on jobsites

· Operating mowers and leaf blowers

· Operating snow removal equipment

The following qualifications are REQUIRED:

· Must have experience in commercial landscape maintenance and account management

· Detailed knowledge of landscape irrigation including installation, estimating, repair, and scheduling

· Understanding of pesticide/herbicides and their proper usage

· Valid driver's license and a good driving record

· Understanding of native grasses in a urban landscape setting

· Experience in landscape estimating

· Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Licensed pesticide applicator with the state of Colorado

· Equipment operation experience

· Bilingual

· Education (degrees, certificates) in landscape horticulture or a related field

This is an hourly position with a pay scale of $25 - $30 per hour. However, starting pay will be solely based on demonstrated skill set, verifiable experience, and certifications.
