NELTS, Inc is a leading provider in Landscaping, Sweeping, & Snow Removal that is a family-owned and operated company based in North Franklin, CT . We give our customers the best service, and use only the highest quality products to deliver outstanding results. Due to rapid growth we are searching for honest, skilled, dedicated, & professional landscapers and laborers to join our dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mowing, watering, edging and fertilizing lawns
• Weeding and mulching landscape beds
• Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
• Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
• Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
• Monitoring and maintaining plant health
• Spring & Fall Clean Ups
• Specialty services like plant installation, fencing, ground leveling, patio installation, etc.
• Schedules may include a 6th day and more than 10 hours per day
• 5 am start each day
• Site cleanup including trash and bulk debris

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various types of foliage, flowers, trees, shrubs and other greenery, and how to maintain them
• Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides
• Driver's License required
• Running small equipment such as backpack blowers, weed whackers & lawn mowers
• Operating leaf removal vacuum system
• Physical Stamina and the ability to work outdoors for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Self-Motivation
• Professionalism
• Communication---those with excellent leadership & effective communication skills often become crew leaders or advance to supervisory positions

Preferred Skills:

• 2-5 years of landscaping or commercial property management
• Operating larger equipment like skid steers, loaders, trucks with trailers, dump trucks
• Hydroseeding
• Grading & Installing Lawn
• Constructing hardscapes such as decks, walkways and patios
• Installing/fixing sprinklers
• Installing/fixing lighting
• Snow plowing &/or Shoveling

Certifications(a plus but not required)

• Pesticides
• Fertilizer

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
