Job Functions

• Completes daily task list to company specified standards
• Care of all plants on the property, mowing grass, weeding, planting, digging, use of chemicals
• Removes weeds and thins ground cover
• Plants replacement flowers, bushes and trees
• Maintains and waters plants
• Removes undesirable landscaping
• Major pruning and trimming of bushes and grass
• Sprays chemicals
• Operates mechanical equipment: lawn mower, weed wacker, hedge trimmer and blower
• Performs major landscaping projects
• Performs major equipment maintenance
• Performs major irrigation repairs
• Must have friendly customer-service oriented demeanor
• Assist with events set-up
• Assists in cleaning RV pads
• Assists in identifying diseased landscaping or irrigation issues to senior employee
• Assists in maintaining inventory levels
• Follows all schedules as set by senior employee
• Has superior working knowledge of plants, soils, pest and weed control
• Reports safety issues to manager

Requirements

• English communication skills
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be available on weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on feet for long periods of time, requires bending, kneeling, lifting, standing and carrying
• Knowledgeable in commercial landscape equipment in use and preventive maintenance
• Involves heavy lifting, digging and carrying equipment
• Knowledge of operation of lawn mower, weed wacker, hedge trimmer, and blower
• Ability to work with little supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
