Position:
Your first assignment will be based out of NW Colorado and require local travel. Subsequent projects will require interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project.
- Use details from written plans and supervisors' instructions to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together.
- Transport heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly.
- Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on lattice structures for high-voltage powerlines.
- Ensure proper placement, balance and alignment of structural pieces.
- Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques.
- Access challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in all types of weather and move/lift at least 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Pass pre-employment and other drug screening requirements
- Preference is given to those with valid CDL and Medical Card
- Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field
