A full or part-time position is available for a Laundry Aide. The position hours will be three (3) days per week, Monday through Friday, with those days rotating each week. The position also has the opportunity of optional weekend shift pick-up every other weekend.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Laundry staff is responsible for performing scheduled laundry tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor. This may include but not be limited to picking up dirty laundry and delivering clean laundry to residents, washing, drying, hanging up laundry, washing and drying bed linens, etc.

Job Knowledge and Role Responsibilities:

• Must follow policies and procedures set forth in Environmental Care Manual and Disaster Manual.
• Must demonstrate safety in being around and using laundry chemicals and follow all policies and procedures.
• Attend all mandatory in-services.
• Act appropriately under the direction of the supervisor and act as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs.
• Communicate and observe the Corporate Compliance Program effectively and comply with the Code of Conduct when performing work functions.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduate preferred, or experience in a related field.
• Be physically able to lift, carry, and/or operate equipment and supplies as necessary.
• Experience in the use of laundry equipment is helpful.
• Successfully completed facility-conducted orientation, mandatory training, and in-service programs.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
