Cheyenne Medical Lodge is currently seeking a Lead Certified Nursing Assistant. The Lead CNA is a position that requires an individual that is reliable, responsible, self motivating, and trustworthy. Below are the tasks that will be assigned to the Lead CNA.

Daily Tasks

· Daily staffing census

· Attend Morning Meeting

· Complete Care & Companion rounds

· MOD in dining room when assigned

· Update UKG for CNAs

· Fill open slots for CNAs

· Approve request offs for CNAs

· Nurse aide Proficiencies

o Incontinent Care

o Catheter Care

o Hoyer Lift Transfers

o Hand Washing

o PPE Application

· Ensure staff are all in uniform

· Ensure nurse aides are making adequate rounds – beds made, sheets changes, barrels are not overflowing, ice passed, no clutter in halls or rooms, not sitting at nurse’s station on phones/ etc.

· Monitoring ADLs and assisting with educating CNAs on accurate documentation

· Assist in ensuring 02 tanks are filled

· Assist with meals and ensuring appropriate staff are in the dining room

· Lead the CNAs to do their job adequately throughout their shifts on a daily basis

· Limit office time to bare minimum

· When state is in the building, you arrive at the same time as nursing department heads

· Help cover the floor during staffing meetings and parties

· Setting up interviews and hiring process for CNAs

Weekly Tasks

· On-call Monday-Friday and once a month on weekends

· Attend pre-reimbursement meeting with MDS & DOR

· Attend and be active in reimbursement meeting

· COVID-19 testing weekly & updating spreadsheet

· Help keep central supply organized

· Ensure new CNAs are trained adequately and check in frequently until they feel comfortable

· Hydration Program

Monthly Tasks

· Audit CNA proficiencies

· Nurse aide renewals

· Gathering of QAPI meeting data
