We are currently seeking two qualified individuals for our Lead Quality Assurance positions, to work in our Nottingham, PA facility!
YOUR WORK WEEK:
SCHEDULE: Monday- Thursday 7:00 pm- 7:00 am OR Friday- Monday 3:30pm- 3:30 am
Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
Develop weekly schedule of techs to stations.
Assist team members to ensure appropriate coverage. Assist technicians to cover unexpected overtime when production schedule changes. Assist production with issues needing attention in the warehouse to make corrections.
Oversee production line shut-downs.
Quality Assurance testing duties include but are not limited to, ensuring FFA testing is completed and assisting with lab re-checks.
Assist with the production start-up process and communicates with technicians to inform them of start-ups.
Responsible for the adjustment of the NIR system.
Review the daily packing machine schedules for accuracy and supply changing schedules to the Quality Assurance stations as they occur.
Act as a backup for various areas including, but not limited to, covering Quality Assurance stations and taking on managerial responsibilities during staffing shortages, absences and management meetings.
Responsible for ensuring Quality Assurance equipment is operating/running properly.
Monitor the production floor by performing regular walk-thru checks throughout the shift to observe and assist in problems and solutions.
Review reports completed by the Lab Technician for accuracy on a daily basis. Check off on production runs in the MES system.
Must be familiar with and understand the warehouse layout and able to communicate with warehouse workers to know where the product is located.
Retrieve non-conforming products from warehouse locations as needed.
Must be able to track and locate the product that needs to be pulled, which may require using Lapeyre stairs to go downstairs to retrieve the product.
Assist in the weekly production shut-down process by shutting down the production and lab equipment.
Assist in staff scheduling, ensuring coverage as team members are on vacation or out of work. This includes working various shifts to provide coverage as needed.
Lead by example to build and develop a safe, "Can-Do" team that positively approaches and solves day-to-day dealings with staff & all production workers.
Enforcement of "Good Manufacturing Food Practices" and overall "Food Safety".
Display willingness and ability to learn the duties and responsibilities of the QA Lead role to provide coverage as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Quality Assurance Department. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience

Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Must possess a basic understanding of food science, with the ability or pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
