Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $85K-100K, depending on experience
Job Responsibilities Drafting, revising and formatting documents for attorneys using MS Word and Macros (will include drafting Tables of Contents/Table of Authorities (TOCs/TOAs) Answering phones and greeting/directing clients Researching Rules of Court and Codes of Federal Procedure for attorneys E-filing documents in Federal and State Court Calendaring Handling trial preparation Managing documents for trial Handling discovery preparation Processing expense reports Entering timesheets
Requirements
- Legal Assistant must possess 7-10 or more years of prior Litigation Legal Assistant experience, including significant experience preparing for trials and depositions and managing documents
- Knowledge of e-filing in the N. District of California and state courts
- Strong experience and expertise with Microsoft Word and Macros
- Legal Assistant must possess the ability to work independently while managing changing priorities and projects
- Legal Assistant must have experience drafting legal documents, including TOAs and TOCs, and must also have extensive experience with calendaring and docketing
- Legal Assistant must have excellent attention to detail, organization and planning, confidentiality and problem solving abilities
