Wellcome Manor is a residential inpatient treatment center that helps women who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction or substance abuse. Wellcome Manor is located 15 minutes South of Mankato, MN. Wellcome Manor is seeking a full time Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

Must be licensed as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

Hours:

Monday through Friday

8:00am-4:30pm(Hours may vary)

Saturday rotation

Full time

Regular duties include: · Provide direct chemical dependency services to inpatient clients using group therapy, individual therapy and educational lectures ·_ Develop individualized treatment plans for assigned clients · Document all professional client contacts in client charts · Formulate professional quality comprehensive assessments, individual treatment plans, treatment summaries and progress notes in a timely fashion · Document appropriate discharge summary and aftercare plan for each client as assigned · Provide chemical dependency consultations to outside resources as assigned · Participate in regular multidisciplinary case staff meetings as scheduled · Help promote positive relationships with staff from other agencies · Maintain a professional manner in all interactions with clients, children, co workers, and referents, particularly in cases requiring de-escalation · Have a basic knowledge of all clients and their current therapeutic status and needs · Handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner._

Required Experience: ·Must be a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Must be free of chemical use problems for two years.· Understand and establish professional boundaries with clients and coworkers· Pleasant and outgoing disposition· Flexibility in accepting work assignments as needed.· Able to handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner.· Able to pass a MN DHS Background Study.· Maintain LADC per Minnesota requirements or be exempt from licensure under MN Statues, Chapter 148F.
