We are currently seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse for our Houston locations. The position is 16 hours a week plus PRN.

Job Summary:

The Nurse will make a weekly visit to our Houston locations. They will perform initial assessments on new residents, create a care plan upon new resident move in, and update all resident care plans monthly. They will be our point of contact for our physician group, and will communicate with live-in caregivers as well as families. Our homes provide a loving environment for those needing assisted living and memory care services, some long-term and others respite. An ideal candidate would be an RN with hospice experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to create care plans and assessments
• Make weekly visits to residents to evaluate their condition
• Provide support and comfort according to individual resident needs
• Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent care
• Medication management
• Notify a doctor or hospice for a patient’s condition when deemed necessary
• Maintain accurate records
• May be asked to assist with annual in-service caregiver training

Skills

• Proven experience working in an Assisted Living environment as an RN or LVN
• Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines/side-effects
• Committed to safety precautions and high ethical standards
• Proficient in English
• Sound judgement and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature
• Cool-tempered and patient
• Emotional/mental stability and stamina
• Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse certification required
