POSITION SUMMARY:
The Living Donor Advocate is an entity provided to living organ donors to ensure the protection of their rights as living donors or as a prospective living donor. The living donor advocate protects and promotes the interest of the donor and ensures the living donor has received information to make an informed choice regarding living organ donation.
EDUCATION: HS graduate/GED required. Associate's Degree in Nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Good verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with patient advocacy (examples: social worker, patient relations, chaplain, risk management)
Knowledgeable of patient rights.
