Overview:
Coordinate logistical functions; assist in the life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with Accounts Payable to administer all freight payments for the organization.
- Resolve all issues with freight bills.
- Coordinate with the internal team and monitor all payments to freight carriers.
- Provide optimal support to the supply chain and resolve all supply payment issues.
- Maintain a list of all approved carriers, route guides, and warehouse lists.
- Maintain records of carrier pricing and contract rates.
- Provide weekly fuel updates to internal and external contacts.
- Maintain logs and records for the internal fleet.
- Coordinate with the internal team and monitor all payments to suppliers.
- Communicate with all shipping departments on monthly progress.
- Review monthly transportation costs with each plant manager.
- 1 - 5 years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- Intermediate computer skills required; Microsoft Office skills preferred.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Some travel is required.
