Logistics Crew Member for Whiteface Mountain

Position Engagement Period: ASAP to 1/27/23

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Fulfills receiving and distribution activities at Whiteface Mountain for the FISU World University Winter Games
• Undertakes strenuous, manual labor activities to include heavy lifting and long hours
• Operates manual and motorized material handling equipment including pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Load and Unload vehicles
• Performs general maintenance and clean-up
• Assist management with tracking of company assets on venue

Required Skills & Experience:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; gives high attention to details
• Experience or knowledge of local culture, winter environment, and small-town life will be an added benefit
• Must be able to work variable hours, including day, evening and weekend shifts while maintaining a positive attitude.

Preferred Experience:

• Six months related experience is preferred

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months - 1 year of warehouse, construction, agriculture, or landscaping experience is desired.

MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND & MOTOR VEHICLE CHECK REQUIRED.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to use a computer, email, phone and office equipment for the entirety of the shift
• Able to sit, stand walk, drive, push, pull and carry for a majority of each shift.
• Able to communicate effectively with direct reports, stakeholders and leadership.

• NYS Drivers License (Required)
