Logistics Supervisor (tradeshow) Job at International Market Centers

What You’ll Do
The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and actively performing the day-to-day logistics duties. Ensuring all freight is handled in a timely and safe manner while verifying damages and any inconsistencies.
- Assess daily staffing needs and work with vendors
- Evaluate, train, and coach a revolving team
- Maintain equipment, inventory, and repairs. Work directly with vendors
- Identify and report safety issues
- Supervise and/or work in showrooms
- Load and unload freight by hand or forklift
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as forklift operator with valid certification
- Attention to detail with industrial equipment
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft 365 suite
- Expertise in supervising a diverse team
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Sound judgment and ability to think, act and make decisions independently
- Ability to prioritize requests appropriately, handle and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to safely lift 50 to 70 pounds
- Experience with packing and handling fragile materials
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as required
