Hunter Acres is an unique long term care facility with smiling faces and warm hearts. Hunter Acres Caring Center is a 5-star facility located in Sikeston, Missouri. The 120-bed facility offers a variety of specialized units for resident needs. Short-term Rehab residents work with our phenomenal therapy department to regain skills needed to return to home. Residents with behavioral challenges are given a safe, caring home with weekly psychiatry and psychology visits. Our memory care unit provides that same safe environment for those residents with a dementia diagnosis.

Expectations and duties:

• Manage the nursing care for all patients in assigned unit
• Coordinate with other unit charge nurses to ensure quality and compassionate care to all residents
• Recognize changes in patients' condition and respond appropriately
• Perform all resident treatments for shift, appropriate charting and management of unit in accordance with facility mission and vision and in line with state and federal regulations
• Supervise CMTs and CNAs as they complete their assigned tasks, redirect and discipline as necessary, and evaluate performance of all assigned tasks before end of shift
• Utilize appropriate technology to record documenting and communication with other care providers, use of supplies and communicate with Director of Nursing any needs good unit
• Inform physicians of any changes in patients' progress, condition or medicinal needs. Implement physicians orders as instructed without error and in a timely manner
