This is a direct-hire position.

Seeking 2nd and 3rd shift.

2nd shift : 4 pm to 12 am

3rd shift : 12 am to 8 am.

The starting wage is $17.50 plus shift differentials of $.25 for 2nd shift and $.35 for 3rd shift.

Overview:

Machine Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of the product, as well as work in a safe manner at all times, following all safety policies and procedures. Performing setups in accordance with the established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders are also required.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities include: Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

· High school diploma, GED

· 2-year manufacturing machine operation requirement

· Prior manufacturing experience with the ability to prioritize and pay close attention to detail

· Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, and bending is required

· Must be able to work independently and distinguish colors

· Must be able to use and read a micrometer

· The ability to demonstrate your mechanical and computer skills

· Must have good English skills in reading, writing and communicating

· Must be able to work in a team environment and to work overtime as the need arises

Preferred:

· Prior extrusion experience preferred

· Wire drawing/extrusion/cabling experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

· Will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently.

· Occasionally lifting < 10pounds as needed

· Occasionally required to lift and carry objects of 10-25 pounds as needed.

· Occasionally required to lift and carry objects of 25-30 pounds as needed.

· Frequently required to lift and carry objects of 30-50 pounds as needed.

· Occasionally required to push and pull reels.

· Employees will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast-paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crises.
