Additional Compensation: $2 shift differential for working 2nd shift

1st shift hours: 5:30AM-4PM

2nd shift hours: 4:30PM-3AM

Job Responsibilities:

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for operating various tools and machines essential to the job. These tools include but are not limited to electrical meters, hand tools, hand-held power tools, torches, grinders, welders, forklifts, aerial lifts, overhead cranes, and computer equipment. Additionally, you will need to have basic knowledge of pumps, welders, punches, presses, shears, cranes, hoists, conveyors, and small pneumatic and electrical hand tools.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting line repairs and breakdowns, conducting maintenance and preventive maintenance on both manufacturing and maintenance shop equipment, and performing machine and fixture set-ups. Additionally, you will need to be able to operate overhead cranes and other lifting devices, read and interpret prints and schematics, and perform basic welding and work with a torch.

You will be expected to perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate, and highly productive manner according to company policy. Additionally, you must provide your own tools and perform maintenance tasks as needed. Finally, you must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

You must have experience with mechanical and hydraulic press brakes. Additionally, you must have the ability to work at a fast pace, be open to new and different things, and express opinions regarding work methods and blueprints. You must also be willing to take responsibility for mistakes.

You must have the ability to use a multimeter, computer, and have basic prints/schematics experience. Other required skills include a mechanical background, including working with plumbing, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic components, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, and sheaves. Additionally, you must have the knowledge and/or ability to operate the tools and equipment listed in the job responsibilities section. Finally, you must have the knowledge and/or ability to learn Lean Concepts and how they relate to Maintenance/Production.

You must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, operator manuals, and maintenance manuals. Additionally, you must have the ability to communicate information orally and/or written, to other personnel in a clear, concise manner. Finally, you must have basic math skills, especially fractions.
