The Weyerhaeuser – MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) Complex is searching for a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner will plan, develop, manage and provide effective leadership for the maintenance team through effective and thorough planning of maintenance activities and special projects. This position is an hourly full-time position and part of the Weyerhaeuser Wood Products Business reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager.

As a Maintenance Planner you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Effectively and efficiently plan future work for the maintenance team to execute.
  • Identify safety issues and take measures to proactively address concerns.
  • Actively oversee, develop, and participate in preventative maintenance activities and ensure effective communication across and between shifts and with the production teams.
  • Lead Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization effort.
  • Maintain and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database.
  • Ensure drawings are updated and organized.
  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) in CMMS.
  • Assist in problem solving and developing solutions to support continuous improvement efforts in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity, reliability and cost.
  • Utilize computer-based CMMS systems and MS Office Suite programs to support effectively plan and prioritize maintenance activities and special projects
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures related to planning and executing work.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge in the areas of basic electrical/mechanical processes and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability/desire to drive and create structure where none exists.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all associates.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, other windows based programs and internet skills.
  • Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo, SAP, or other CMMS applications.
  • Must be willing to work holidays as needed, be “on-call” and provide other support as assigned.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights should conditions warrant.
  • Resume detailing education and work history required for consideration.

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Technical Associate’s or Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Experience in wood products manufacturing.
  • Experience in planning and creating work packages for skilled trades.
