Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the Physical Plant of the hospital in reliable operation and in good repair. Performs upkeep of the Physical Plant performing carpentry related functions as they relate to maintenance and repair of Hospital facilities upkeep, renovations and construction. Works with wood, metal or synthetic material to construct, repair, modify, rebuild or install typical building systems and components of Hospital properties such as, but not limited to, wall systems, ceiling systems, floors, doors, frames, shelving, cabinet systems, ceiling (IV and curtain) tracks, patient area wall hardware, locks, door hardware and other equipment and hardware as required. Works from Work Order Request forms, verbal instructions and detailed specifications, diagrams, sketches or plans.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school or GED
• 1-3 years of experience

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is a 126-bed acute hospital. We offer a full range of Emergency, Surgical and Inpatient and Outpatient services. Our Emergency Room is the area’s only dedicated Senior ER. This features designated parking and hearing amplifiers.
