Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep locations throughout the city. Well rely on you to keep our facilities in excellent condition by doing various odd jobs. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this position.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting, polishing etc.
• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Perform routine landscaping on the grounds
• Pressure wash exterior building, walkways, and lot
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
• Undertake light installation and repair
• Repair equipment or appliances (Monthly PMs)
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
• Identify and report the need for major repairs

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Handyman
• Painting, Sheetrock, Demo work, Carpentry, Electrical, End of job punch work
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and Ice Machines
• Basic math skills
• Good communication ability
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Moderate to heavy physical effort; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); work in area with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment and moving parts; work on roof top and other high places; ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work; must be able to lift 80 pounds; must be able to walk, stand and stoop for an extended period of time (over 90% of the time); exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust daily.
