Responsibilities:

• Work in a professional manner and keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer.
• Troubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems.
• Pre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required; and communicate with Maintenance Manager.
• Read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems.
• Diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls.
• Replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.
• Communicate with other plant personnel when requested to, to review deficiencies.
• Emphasis on Preventative Maintenance within the plant.
• Assist with work orders as required by Maintenance Manager.
• Assist with any machine maintenance tasks when requested or needed.e.g., injection/mold rebuilds, automation issues, etc.
• Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in training as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1-year certification from college or technical school, or minimum 3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Capable of performing job duties with little or no supervision.
• Must work well with others in a team environment or individually.
• Ability to work at heights. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
• Ability to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 10 times per day.
• Ability to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
• Ability to work overhead or in an awkward position on a frequent basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
