Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands. JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic is part of Waev’s Transformation Team and performs all functions as may be necessary for the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This individual will work regularly with fellow Transformation Team members to accomplish team objectives as well as cross-functionally on an as needed basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains manufacturing equipment, requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance techniques
• Diagnoses machine malfunctions and difficulties and makes repairs and adjustments as necessary
• Installs and maintains specialty power, air and water systems for the facility
• Performs activities such as plumbing, concrete work, painting, hydraulics, and electrical maintenance and repair
• Proceeds on tasks with an extremely high regard for the safety of others, as well as incumbents' own safety
• Works toward job simplification and makes recommendations for improvement of facilities upkeep
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in building/machinery maintenance and repair
• Must be proficient in all aspects of building and machinery upkeep and repair including electrical (440V/110V), plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, and general machine/equipment repair
• Must effectively communicate with all levels of management and peers

WORKING CONDITIONS

• On-site at Waev factory in Anaheim, CA
• The job requires frequent carrying/lifting of up to seventy-five (75) pounds, bending/stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing pushing/pulling, climbing and reaching above shoulder level
• Continuous standing/walking of approximately seven (7) hours per day. Operating floor controls with both feet
• Firm grasping and/or fine manipulation using both hands
• Extensive use of the eyes. The job may have exposure to loud noise levels, dust, fumes and gases and may require working on heights, being around moving machinery, and driving in-house equipment
