Job Description

What you will be doing:
- Direct the activities of contractors and application developers in the requirements definition, design, coding, and testing of sophisticated applications
- Participate in the continual improvement of technical solutions, standards and processes associated with Corporate Application Development
- Responsible for management of Corporate Applications development tasks, including identification and assignment of work, tracking progress and removing barriers to progress
- Communicate tasks across teams and associated business partners
- Responsible for the long-term strategy of the Enterprise Portal
- Manage team to develop enhancements for AMC’s corporate applications
- Collaborate with team members on architectural challenges and problem solving
- Develop and enforce AMC’s application strategy, architectures, standards, best practices and processes
- 7+ years professional development experience
- 3+ years professional experience leading teams
- Solid understanding of the theory and architectures implemented in the commercial and open-source tools used to deliver service-based applications and portal delivery services
- A collaborative attitude and respect for others
- Leadership skills to take ownership, drive change and inspire the team toward success
- Desire for continual growth/self-improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- Manager or lead of multiple applications/systems
- Passion for technology and design (& movies!)
