Description:The LCS Sustainment Combat Management Systems (CMS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Post-Delivery Maintenance Availabilities, Tests & Trials, and Emergent Troubleshooting & Repairs. They will provide support for LCS testing and trial events, both underway and in port. They are expected to perform the following tasks:
1. Perform as CMS SME to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair of LCS combat systems and related equipment. The expectation is that the CMS SME will troubleshooting and be able to effect minor repairs with little, or no, assistance.
2. Assist other technicians with non-CMS troubleshooting and repairs.
3. Coordination of ship issues and repairs with appropriate LM (Sustainment, Engineering ITPs, etc.) and Navy (shore support and crew) groups.
4. Coordination and conduct of post-delivery test events for ship Combat Systems, including:
a. Major test periods (Sail Around, Final Contract Trials, Shock Trials, etc.)
b. Major test events (CSSQT, CSSOT, Mission Package, Alignments, etc.)
c. Ship Availabilities (IPDA/PDA, PSA, PMAV, CMAV)
d. Post-Availability Test (CSLO, LOA, Post Repair Trials)
e. DT/OT, IOT&E Tests
5. Coordination with support and customer groups, including Engineering IPTs, Sustainment, Navy PEs, Navy support groups, and ship's crews, for all testing, conduct, reporting, and problem resolution.
6. Requires significant travel (approx. 25%) to support both changing ship locations (Marinette, Norfolk, Mayport, & San Diego), and will be expected to embark the ships for underway events of varying durations.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years in relevant experience with the design, testing, and repair of ship combat systems.
2. Effective knowledge of systems implementation and integration.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with management, vendors, and the Navy customer.
4. Ability to build effective relationships with Ship's Crew and Navy customers
5. Ability to travel and provide dedicated on-ship support for defined test periods.
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of ship Combat Systems (C2, Weapons/Sensors, TSCE, EXCOMM, NAV), including operation, test, maintenance, and certification.
2. Knowledge of system testing, including instrumentation, procedures, troubleshooting, repair, and restoration, particularly as related to ship Combat Management systems.
3. Ability to research and interpret ship/system drawings, including cabling diagrams.
4. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot in a shipyard environment. Prior experience with associated test equipment to include radio frequency (RF) generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
5. Knowledge of LCS Program, the ship, and its systems.
6. Certified IAW Mil-Std-2003-5A.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
