The Manager of Rehabilitation Services provides overall leadership, administration and coordination of clinical services for the department of Rehabilitation Services and participates in the development, management and growth of the facility. Serves as an advocate for quality patient care and service excellence. Plans, coordinates, controls, directs and evaluates patient services in the department and the personnel responsible for the delivery of those services. Works collaboratively and serves as a resource to clinical staff, administrators and physicians.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Provides leadership to the team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding towards achieving department objectives. Collaborates with department leader to set department specific as well as hospital driven goals.
- Assures clinical compliance with quality and infection standards and initiatives.
- Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action. Addresses problems that arise with clinical aspects of the department and follows up as needed.
- Oversees maintenance of equipment to ensure constant operation, makes recommendations for purchase of capital and non-capital equipment.
- Recommends, implements, adheres to approved operating goals, objectives and budget. Monitors payroll to stay within budget.
- Manages implements staffing requirements and improves productivity of service. Develops and manages direct reports. Directs and supervises staff including evaluations and delegation of duties as needed.
- Ensures compliance with government and agency regulations.
- Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations. Ensures coordination, integration, communication and evaluation of operating policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience 1 year in a supervisory position (CHNOLA)
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Science (CHNOLA)
- Required: Doctoral Degree Audiology (CHNOLA)
- Required: Master's Degree Science, Communication, Arts (CHNOLA)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Speech-Language Pathology Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Audiology Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners licensure in Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy
