The candidate will lead in-unit optical operators. The candidate will support various Optical Components Center (OCC) functions including quality, logistics, training, documentation, planning, business operations, and OCC program support. This position serves as a liaison between all OCC functions. Responsible for ensuring a good communication interface between the functions. Incumbents are generally experienced in customer support and have a sound knowledge of overall business-related functions. Responsible for the leading team, organizing workload, and setting day-to-day plans to achieve center commitments and goals. Support development and delivery of training programs.

West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 1 year
• Prior team leadership experience
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques
• Microsoft Office suite knowledge, skills, and experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree focus in business, engineering, or other manufacturing-related
• Prior leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated leadership competencies consistent with the tenets of Full Spectrum Leadership
• Experience with supporting the development and delivery of training programs
• Experience tracking and managing cost, quality, and schedule, in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a union environment
• Manufacturing experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
• Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvement

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
