POSITION SUMMARY OF MANUFACTURING FACTORY ENGINEER:

Manage the engineering activities relating to the factory such that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all engineering activities enhance product quality, plant performance and the business objectives. Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic vision of the factory in areas of manufacturing reliability. The Factory Engineer is a key member of the factory management team.

Management Responsibilities of Factory Engineer:

  • Define, propose and monitor the implementation of the Factory Engineering teams plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Key Engineering Activities as outlined in the master document.
  • Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to Factory Engineering.
  • Lead and coordinate the Factory Engineering team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the teams mission and objectives.
  • Propose and control the Factory Engineering budget as well as the factory's capital investment plans and related capital expenditures.
  • Planning and managing all approved capital projects
  • Propose and monitor Factory Engineering in accordance with the key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrate and promote the company's values within the Factory Engineering team.
  • Contributing toward the Strategic and Tactical Leadership of the factory and division as a whole.

Functional Responsibilities of Factory Engineer:

  • Ensure that there exists within the engineering team an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. That all those in engineering are encouraged never to implement any change, whether directly instructed to, or under his/her own initiative, without first questioning its impact in relation to product safety/quality, people safety and the environment. No compromises should be tolerated.
  • Liaise daily with Production and Quality Assurance to resolve technical issues and to ensure optimal operation.
  • Ensure that all the team members are familiar with, and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Safety, Health and Risk Management Strategy
  • Ensure execution of maintenance is in accordance with Company's Maintenance Strategy by using the Consequence Driven Maintenance philosophy.
  • Initiate and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) to achieve industrial process and plant optimization.
  • Execute and control Factory Routine, Extra-ordinary Maintenance and Capital Investment Budgets
  • Manage resources continuously to align with factory objectives and business strategies, include outsourcing opportunities.

Min Requirements of Factory Engineer:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing facility including maintenance responsibilities.
  • Supervisory experience in previous assignment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology.
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
  • Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers.
  • 1-3 years TPM / continuous improvement process development
  • AutoCAD view or Visio, CDM, AMM, ESAT, CIAT, NEMT, NEST etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
