Manufacturing Plate Mounter (2nd Shift) 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Job at CSW, Inc.
OBJECTIVE: To position the individual printing plates on the carrier sheets used for printing the final product.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: The incumbent in this line position reports to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager, and is responsible for the safe and efficient use of the equipment and tools; the adequacy of the quality and quantity of the mounting materials; and meeting the production and quality standards for the job.
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS:
1. Opti-Check Mounting Fixtures with Spare Cylinders
2. Sewing Machine
3. Work Tables
SPECIFIC DUTIES (TYPICAL ACTIVITIES):
1. Plans job from Customer order information and layout.
2. Positions layout sheet or Mylar on top cylinder of Opti-check.
3. If a Mylar is not provided, draws structure per layout in job jacket.
4. Prepares mounting material by cutting to proper size and applying the correct lead and trail lock ups.
5. Positions mounting material on bottom cylinder of opti-check.
6. Positions plates on mounting material.
7. Rolls down plate to insure a good bond.
8. Applies ink to plates and pulls proof.
9. Checks proof and mount in accordance with quality assurance procedure and customer specifications.
10. Cleans plates and seals the edges.
11. Package Mounts for shipment.
12. Assists Supervisor/Manager in training new employees in acquiring skills required to perform job.
13. Performs housekeeping tasks and keeps work area clean.
14. Performs other related duties as needed or assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to read blueprints and make accurate measurements.
2. Ability to read a ruler down to a 64th of an inch and be able to divide fractions.
3. Requires a high level of eye- hand coordination.
4. Ability to exercise judgment in making layouts and positioning plates in accordance with the customer requirements.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
6. Ability to lift mounts above shoulder level.
7. Ability to lift mounting material weighing up to 100 lbs. with the help of fellow employee.
8. Attendance, conduct, appearance and professionalism must meet the standards set forth in the Employee Handbook in conjunction with Massachusetts and Federal labor law. These requirements may further be defined in the above Job Specific Requirements.
9. Standards of quality and productivity must consistently meet the expatiations set forth in the Quality Standards program. Repetitive substandard results in quality of work will result in disciplinary action including possible termination.
10. Overtime response is key to successfully managing the highly variable work days found in our industry. Overtime hours including Saturdays and Sundays may be required on a periodic basis as the workload demands.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
