POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing Process Engineer - Automation

SUMMARY: Startup and optimization of robotic molding production equipment and continued operational support.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Support commissioning of new robotic molding production equipment.
- Develop processes for product SKU’s to be added to the new production equipment.
- Support daily production schedules through the timely troubleshooting and repair of faulty equipment.
- Monitor process efficiencies to ensure production goals are consistently met.
- Optimize robotic programs and pathways.
- Monitor and troubleshoot robotic spraying processes.
- Develop expertise in the associated chemical processing pumps, valving, and controls.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and product development to ensure that products meet quality requirements.
- Assist in the training of salary and hourly personnel on the operation of production equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis of machine faults and maintenance repairs with recommendations for process or machinery improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective lines of communication between manufacturing personnel, supervisory personnel, and outside contacts as required.
- Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of an effective preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure consistent equipment performance.
- Assist in maintaining spare part inventories, to include cataloging of components and suggesting items to be stocked as equipment history is obtained.
- Observe all safety practices while on the manufacturing floor and while running equipment.

SKILLS/EQUIPMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing).
- Other engineering disciplines will be considered with the appropriate work experience.
- 3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge
- Experience the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Experience with industrial robotics (ABB, RobotStudio) preferred. Training is available.
- Understanding of PM strategies and how they relate to the management of industrial automation.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley controls is a plus, but not required.
- Travel
- Initial process and equipment training to be provided at corporate headquarters in Easton, Pennsylvania.
- Periodic travel to headquarters is expected.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Operations and Engineering management.
Physical Demands- The employee will occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms and stand for extended periods of time.
- The employee will occasionally be required to work from heights through safe use of fall protection measures in accordance with OSHA standards.
- May be required to climb ladders and steps to access elevated work platforms
