Spahn & Rose Lumber, the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, currently has an opening for a full-time Material Handler at our store in Prairie du Chien. This position offers a competitive wage along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, profit sharing, PTO, etc.

Responsibilities:

• The loading and unloading of trucks safely, efficiently and effectively.
• Stocking materials as assigned.
• Build loads for delivery.
• Driving a vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
• Ensure the customer is always serviced first by providing safe, timely and efficient delivery service of building materials.
• Operating a fork truck.
• Check load to ensure it is properly secured and the correct material and amount of material is being delivered before leaving the yard.
• Keep lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience is preferred.
• Repetitive lifting of up to 35 pounds, 70lbs occasionally and the ability to bend and twist in awkward positions.
• Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
