Material Handler/Truck Driver (DOT) - Richland Job at Sudden Service, Inc.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Makes deliveries to customers and other SSI locations.
- Ensures load is secures and all paperwork is correct and in order.
- Operates equipment such as Forklift, Overhead Crane, Combilift, etc.
- Ensures company truck is clean and scheduled maintenance is performed when needed.
- Assists in the shipping or shop area when not making deliveries.
- Keeps work area clean and organized.
- Performs all duties and areas of responsibility in accordance to established operational procedures to ensure efficiency, quality and conformance to applicable DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations.
- May require weekend and night deliveries for rental eq.
Job Qualifications:
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Three to five years job experience or equivalent in demonstrated experience and ability.
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
- Must be insurable by corporate insurance carrier
- Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations.
- Must meet the physical requirements established by the DOT.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills.
- General knowledge of Taylor Parts System would be a plus.
- Must be able to operate Forklift and Combilift.
