Summary Directs and coordinates activities of the Mattress or Sewing Department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leads.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specification or products and schedules delivery dates to plan operational goals.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Executes operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Checks production output according to specification.
• Ensure product meets quality standards.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. • Coach employee and resolves employee grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Plant Manager for action.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing work schedules. • Attend daily production meetings with Plant Manager and other production supervisors to ensure production demands are met.
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university a plus; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience in using industrial sewing equipment a plus. • Microsoft Office • Organizational and leadership abilities • Communication and interpersonal skills • Self-motivated and result-driven approach • Problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
