JOB DESCRIPTION: The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities in a cGMP manufacturing facility. This includes following procedures to perform and document preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair process equipment, utility, and facility issues and proactively improve existing and new equipment, utilities, and facilities.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for maintenance activities including but not limited to: pulling and cleaning screws, equipment maintenance (twin screw extruder, gravimetric feeders, underwater pelletizers, injection molding, chiller system, dust collector, etc), installation of new production equipment

Perform all activities in a safe manor

Complete PM records, equipment logs and other forms to document work activities. Properly follows all repair procedures and maintains accurate documentation of all repairs.

Maintains orderly and accurate records of all required inspections and work performed and submits required paperwork to supervision in a timely manner.

Ability to help production when needed

May perform validation and equipment qualification activities. Maintain cGMP work environment

Field fault analysis ? determine cause of failed device to prevent re-occurrences. Field calibration of instrumentation and controls utilizing proper test equipment. Troubleshoot up to 3 phase 480VAC wiring, motors, VFD?s, and other equipment.

Salary: Based on experence.

Experience Required:

HS or GED equivalent

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for majority of shift 4+ years: Facility maintenance and repairs

2+ years: Fabrication experience -mild steel, stainless and aluminum

2+ years: Power transmission & pump experience -electric motor and VFD, gearbox, lubricant and coolant pumps

Experience Preferred:

5+ years: maintenance in a plastic compounding facility

5+ years: maintenance of injection molding machines, blown film extrusion or blow molding equipment

2+ years: Plumbing experience -copper, PVC, black and galvanized pipe fitting 2+ years: PLC experience -Allen Bradley Siemens, etc.

Forklift certified
