Adult Learning Systems - Lower Michigan, Inc. - ALS-LM is a non-profit company that works with persons with developmental disabilities. We provide 24 hours of in-home care.

Looking to fill an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant in our licensed group home in Macomb.
Evening and weekend interviews are available upon request!

Responsibilities of Medical Assistant:
- Makes appointments for consumers to see physicians, provide lab work, and referrals for additional follow up care.
- Assists in training staff in medical and health and safety matters as well as assisting in properly maintaining medical equipment.
- Maintain and keep updated electronic medical records and documentation pertaining to the consumers.
- Purchasing and ordering of medical supplies to include all prescriptions and coordinators with local pharmacy.
- Educates consumers on medication compliance.
Qualifications of Medical Assistant:
- Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma Preferred
- One-year Medical experience required
- Valid driver's license
- Computer experience preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
