Medical Payment Processing Specialist Job at Commonwealth Radiology
Commonwealth Radiology is looking for a highly-organized and conscientious person to join its Business Office Staff as a Payment Processing Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a Payment Specialist experienced with payment posting in a billing software system to join an outstanding team of business office professionals.
The Payment Processing Specialist will perform the following duties:
- Process remittances within our PM system, balancing the ERA file to the EFT/Deposit.
- Review & Handle Forwarding Balances and Offset/Retractions within ERA File (Utilizing Easy Print Software & Payer Portals to research payment retractions within ERA file).
- Reviewing Auto-posted payment batches of carriers assigned.
- Manual posting of patient payments and insurance payment/denials.
Correcting payment posting issues on patients account.
The Payment Processing Specialist performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to:
- Insurance carrier remittance scanning
- Downloading of insurance ERAs and/or paper vouchers
- Review and handle credit balance accounts related to payment posting issues
Applicants must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical insurance payment posting experience using a computerized billing system preferred.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
