We are seeking a highly qualified & motivated STELLAR Front Office Coordinator with Medical Assistant experience to perform in both roles fluently. This ideal candidate will have dual experience with both the clerical and clinical sides of the practice. ADMINISTRATIVE - CLERICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Must be knowledgeable how to run the Front Desk, a willingness to cross train in the back as a team player, taking initiative with the ability to multi-task as the Front Office Coordinator & as the Medical Assistant to help the back office when needed at any given time
  • 2 years front office experienced preferred
  • Answer phones with a courteous & friendly manner
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments daily
  • Checking patient's in & checking patient's out providing follow-up appointments
  • Collecting co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, self-pays & balances with all forms of payment types (cash, check, credit cards etc.)
  • Checking EMR fax scan box throughout the day, label documents and file
  • Obtain insurance authorizations if required, knowledge use of Availity
  • Schedule all new referrals as they come in and follow-up on existing ones
  • Scanning new patient paperwork, insurance cards, driver’s license and various other documents throughout the day
  • Check the mailbox scanning all Correspondence & payments to the billing department daily
  • Always keep your front office area neat and organized, counters & all surfaces wiped down daily & sweep floor area if dirt and debris are present
  • Keep the patient lobby neat & sanitize surfaces throughout the day

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Must be experienced with an EMR & Meaningful Use/MIPS/MACRA to keep the physician in compliance at all times. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for entering all data entry & scanning documents of all clinical information into the patients charts throughout the day
  • 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred (Certified/Non-Certified)
  • Prepare exam rooms first thing in the morning before patients arrive & clean by sanitizing after each patient is finished
  • Greet all patients with a warm smile, get them ready in the exam chair & assist with taking shoes/socks off for those who require assistance
  • Take a medical history, explain treatment procedures & answer all questions
  • Assist the physician with minor surgical procedures & wound care
  • Take basic X-rays, apply & remove fiberglass casts and more
  • Sterilize instruments & place them in the autoclave and package as instructed
  • Maintain an organized medical supply room & keep an inventory of medical supplies ordering supplies accordingly
  • Clean the back office at the end of every day by sanitizing each room, restocking all supplies & sweeping all the exam rooms and hallways
  • Empty red biohazard trash & replace every Thursday afternoon after the last patient of the day.
