We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, and will be responsible for handling all front desk duties.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Register new patients and update existing patient information in electronic medical records
• Schedule appointments and manage patient reminders
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails and direct messages, and handle other forms of patient communication
• Verify insurance coverage and collect payments for services
• Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate
• Provide administrative support to physicians and other healthcare professionals, including faxing, scanning, and filing documents
• Follow up on patient inquiries and coordinate referrals to specialists or other medical facilities as needed

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience in a medical office or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer and software programs, including electronic medical records
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance billing practices
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
