Our clinic is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to ensure the efficiency of the Records Department. In this role, your tasks will involve scanning documents, updating electronic health records, and maintaining the master client log. You will ensure clinical documentation is accurate and completed. You will also respond to requests regarding records, logging all requests, authorizations, and releases in our system.
Position Responsibilities· Maintain physical medical records· Update patients’ electronic health records · Respond to requests for medical records· Validate requests and authorizations for the release of medical information· Ensure that clinical documentation of the services provided to our patients is correct· Follow all HIPAA regulations· Perform other clerical duties as needed
Qualifications: · A high school diploma or GED certificate· Medical records experience preferred· Knowledge of medical terminology a plus· Basic computer skills· Attention to detail and quality focus.· Communication skills
